A couple of leaves aren't going to remove that much weight. 105's are just heavy, there are not enough parts to remove to reduce the weight enough without removing the bed. If you do that, whats the point of owning a 105 to begin with.

136" wb more or less and 4 3/4" from the top bed rail to the cab. The bed sits on 3/4" oak to clear the rivets.

The bracket that bolts the bed to the frame should give you the location the OP is using.

The glad hands on the front are used for when that wrecker needs to be towed. They have one way valves in them IIRC. They should not have any air coming out of them.
