Well I know one guy on here a couple years ago (Wallew?) did a write up about how he got some UPS wheels and swapped over, I believe he said that UPS got rid of the wheels separately from the truck? Not sure, search for his name and see if you can find the thread.
edit: never mind here it is...
Where did you get the batteries at and how much were they? I just bought some group 31's at Sams Club for $80 each and they fit nicely in the box but are nowhere near 1400 CCA!
I second this, an easy way to heat is to put it in black barrels or a dark color and put it in the sun if possible. I have seen boxes that you put the barrel in and it has a window to let the sunlight in, sort of like a small greenhouse. Let it sit for a long time and drain crud out the...
Don't take this as me being an a$$ but search is your friend

Do you 16.00's tires on your truck? Looks good.
I know the guys over on Pirate4x4 like the Rockwell axles so they should sell for a good price, maybe $1500 or more for all three? depending on who needs/wants them now.
Well I asked on here before about a wiring diagram for the LDS engine and found the one in the 211-2-2 is for the gasser engine I think ( has the distributor and spark plugs but no master switch and start button or manifold heater stuff)
I pulled up the one for the deuce and am gonna try to...
#1 vent for the air pack for the brakes, fine where it is.
#2 the bracket is for the ether bottle for help in starting, don't really need it.
#3 not sure
#4 I believe is for the lines for the fording system to hook into the air cleaner when you go through deep water, all the vents tie into...
What 40,000lb winch are you looking at? The 45,000 lb winch came on the back of the 5 ton wreckers (M816, M62, M543) and are driven with a shaft to a gearbox and a sprocket chain drive to the winch. Thats a tall winch for the front of a deuce. Also you have to think about the weight rating on...
The cummins powered trucks do not have an in tank fuel pump so drain the filter housing, replace the filter then fill in back up as much as possible with fuel and then reattach. Any little air in the line causes hard starting.
The sprague T-case WORKS when the rear tires spin faster than the front by a certain percentage ( 7% I think). The only thing the air does is tell the transfer case if it should be in forward or reverse and this comes from the valves on the transmission. cutting out the air just puts it in...
I remember a year or so back on here someone saying that they knew of one in public hands. Last year when I was traveling through Maryland, I passed one on the back of a flatbed. Stopped at the rest stop and the trucker stopped also. I drooled over it for a few minutes!!:-D
How to get a truck home:
A) get some one to pick it up for you, i.e a shipper. Easier, less hassle ( mostly) and my preferred way when the condition of the truck is unknown. Only problem is some sites (talking about GL, maybe GSA) don't have a way to load the truck onto a trailer, ramps or...
