I agree, lock out hubs are just too expensive unless you use it as a daily driver. Lockers are quite expensive too plus it takes quite a bit to install them especially in the front rear axle. Not worth it unless you plan on serious off roading. Just air down and pick your path carefully.

I don't know if it applies to your application or not but the Jake brake on my 816 has a switch on the cable from the accelerator pedal so when the pedal is resting on the stop, the contacts are made up to allow it to actuate - basically no gas = Jakes can brake.

Get with the DMV on how to title a vehicle with no title ever. Tell them its an ex-military vehicle that has never been titled. See if they will let you get a surety bond. Thats how I did it in NM.
