What!! You sold the M59 Kenny?
Yea, I know the money pinch feeling, I gotta sell my deuce to fund the other projects.
Good luck with the new truck hndrsonj.
Did you guys disconnect the front drive shaft? I would assume when the front is in the air and the rear is turning faster, that the sprauge would kick in and power the front tires?
Well, if you have one block then you are actually using "two" strands of cable, one to the block and one from the block right?
and never run enough cable out to the last layer on the winch, bad things will happen!
Edit: thats if you bring the cable back to the winch truck itself.
Thanks for the info, I was just looking around for some 14R20's for my M816 and was debating on 16's or not. Those are about 46" right? Whats the load rating on those?
The guy on ebay with those used to be on here, he is a good guy and I would recommend him.
But I second the getting yours rebuilt, go find an alternator shop, they should be able to do it.
If you get a moment to look, check the fuel pump for me and see what if any numbers and manufacturer are on it. I have been looking for one and would like to see the info on it.
That is some good info on the "multi-fuel" process. I hope the OP gets your truck back in good shape for a good price.
As far as having another deuce, heck you need a WRECKER!!:-D
I personally think the SAFEST way to tow a deuce is with a trailer capable of holding it ( like some else said, at least 14,000 lbs) and with at least one axle with an electric brake with a brake controller. The truck should be also rated to pull the load.
Now with that being said, I know...
You are not that far away from Jacks Surplus. Search on here and you will find where it is ( some where in southern AZ). You will think you've died and gone to heaven when you see that place!!:-D
Sounds like the intank fuel pump is not pumping. Try pulling it and see if its clogged or stuck.
When you pull it, blow some air through the fuel line up to the first filter and see if the line is clogged also.
Is your intank fuel pump working? turn the master switch on and trying cracking the fuel filter and see if you have fuel. once the engine is firing, the IP is pulling the fuel so it looks like you don't have a fuel problem when you might actually have one.
