Changing transmission and transfer case lubricating fluids is easy to do and not expensive. Read post #6 again and have at it. Do not put that drain oil into the fuel tank. see TM 9-2520-246-34-1 to see what your dealing with.

Just put an LED into the cab and one would always know if the switch itself is functioning with a brake pedeal press. This is just for to see if the stupid swicth is actually sending and thatswitch actually IS functioninal closed .

Have you checked the jack shaft bolts (short drive shaft between tranny and transfer case)? They have a tendency to come loose and make all sorts of strange noise at lower shaft rpm.

Yes, for penetrating stuff to loosen it up. Use Kroil or the special SS mix (acetone/ ATF) that some swear by. You are correct in working any fastner back and forth to finally get it off, Not good to break stuff.
