    Used those fittings all over the powerplant instrumentation lines and got them from SwageLok. We called them mud dauber fittings. the bugs would make a home and fill up the vent lines. Also seen them with very fine porus stone in the end.

    Do you have the anti drainback oil filters on your truck. If not then sometimes in the first 90 seconds of engine run you will hear the turbo stop screaming when it finally gets lube oil. All lube oil drains to pan on shutdown as per design.
