New Guy Just Bought a M101A2!

EUC clearance time seems to change more rapidly than the weather. I think your Christmas expectation is fair but don't be surprised if you have it by Thanksgiving.

    Np205 + 700r4

I'm a pretty staunch advocate for the 700R4 in most cases. It can certainly be built to handle anything the truck can dish out but as Cliffy pointed out, OD would be all but useless with the 43" tires you have!

Stock suspension only has a few inches between the spring plate and bumpspot.

Stacking M101a2 without turning them over? anyone try this?

Upside down stacking can ce accomplished with handtools and come a longs or chainhoists. You will sweat a bit but other members have done it.

That's why I knew the answer and you didn't. I read the kindling.

    37" Hummer Tires & Wheels on M1008

In summary, that is correct. The pics are showing a truck with stock springs. The trimming might be measured a little more than a bit though.

pintle hitch question on the m1031's

I just went to the -20 and -34 parts manuals. There is no pintle listed for the M1031 in any of them. Since the M1031 is a chassis/cab, the company that completed the vehicle installed whatever was specified in their contract. I don't have the TM for the SECM but I'd wager that there is pintle...

    M1008 or M1028

Since my memory isn't what it used to be, I looked in the owners manual (a free download) and found this compelling information.

    Storage containers outdoors

The hot ticket for this is the enclosed IBC. I had 3, still have 1. It's completely enclosed in galvanised sheemetal. It's pretty cool.

    Thinning RAPCO paint...

When I first embarked on painting a deuce with Gillespie Coatings I was tutored by a collector from the old Mil Veh list. Some of the things I remember him pointing out was that what you thinned the paint with was dependent on shooting conditions. For those of us in hotter climates that don't...

Official 2013 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR13 thread

In under an hour (GA Rally Standard Time) it will be 43 days left. That equates to about 40 days or less for the Earlybirds. Better commence to getting your PCMS done. Go back over the entire rally and swap threads and take notes of what you committed to buy and sell and bring suitable cash...

    Newbie with some M101A3 questions...

Standard SOP for me anymore is an infrared heat gun. I can zap hubs and tires to see if anything nefarious is going on!

    M1009 rv a/c

He did specifically say RV unit in his original post. A second top with an A/C would be kinda nifty for tight camping quarters. Might get a bit nippy in the back though.

    Newbie with some M101A3 questions...

Since the topic of this thread is your new M101A3, I'm going to add that to the title to help readers now and in the future while using the search feature.

My new M1008 and a Gazillion questions

The 16.5x8.25 rims on it are quite a find these days. Save a few pennies and later put on the radial tires, they are quite an improvement. All in all you seem to have a solid truck to work with.
