I watched that too...the last 10 minutes were hard to watch. :( I really felt bad...what a downer.
I think I also remember another program about an entire squadron of P-38s buried in a glacier in Greenland (the entire squadron landed on the glacier when they got lost). The snow/glacier buried...

RE: Driving my M35 home from GL... Susanville CA thru Bend,
Well, I'm out here in Hillsboro...not sure if I could help at all unless you broke down in Oregon somewhere.
Make sure you've got a cell phone charged up and the appropriate flares/triangles in case you do break down.
When is this...
RE: Dot 5
Good timing...was just about to get into the brakes on my deuce.
About how much BFS would be required for a full system flush? (I have the split brake system on my 88, so I'm assuming it'll take a bit more than an older system).
I'll bet there's room for one of these water/air intercoolers in there (or one like it..the below pic is just an example of what's available), especially if one were to remove the air filter assembly (re-locate to the outside using a 5-ton air filter can). Plumbing to the heat exchanger mounted...
Anyone out there have, or know where I can get the plastic cap for a NATO style slave connector (the vehicle-side connector, I guess that would be the "male" side).
I just need the plastic cap, not the whole connector. If anyone has any leads on one, please let me know.
I've already checked...
I love weasels...I want one so bad.
Maybe not in MI, but have a look at http://www.bigshotsofidaho.com/. Bill McKenna (SubGunsToo@IceHouse.net) restores a bunch of them...he might be worth chatting with.
I'll probably be buying mine from him someday if I ever get around to owning one of...

For searching the forums, Google is your friend:

Power steering isn't standard on the A2s. I have a late model "loaded" A2 and it's manual steer.
However, many units did put air-o-matic power steering on theirs...but that was at the unit level I'm pretty sure. The A3s all came with power steering, as well as the other improvements like...

Ah...there's the rub. Parts are hard to find from what I'm told.
Here's a good read: http://www.vannattabros.com/truck6.html There's a little in there on tires towards the end (before he lost the engine). Asian tires, but hey...better than 55 year old rubber.
...oh, and did you change the tip in the HF blasting gun to the larger one? It comes with a pretty small sized tip mounted in the gun. You should have got a small bag of purple colored tips...change it out for the larger one, that helped me a bunch when I tried the original gun (still ditched...
I have the HF cabinet and it does pretty well, but I'm using Aluminum Oxide abrasive (yes, the stuff from HF too). I agree with Jasonjc...get all of the water out of the line. I'm using two seperators, and you would be amazed how often I have to empty them. I have one on the compressor...
The Trunk Monkey!!!!
it's funny how a local (Portland, Oregon) commercial has gone mainstream and even international!

For those who don't know the trunk monkey...do a youtube search. Humor follows.
