What I did for lights... was made up an ext cable, and plugged into the mounted lights on the towed truck. Standard bullet nosed crip connectors will plug into the packards.
Other option, would be to put 24v bulbs in a civvy magnetic light set.

Check and make sure the 'kickdown' switch isnt stuck... or failing. Basically with the key on, you should not have 12v at the orange wire on the side of the transmission.

The relay is a pretty basic one. If you carry it into your local auto parts, they should be able to set you up with one.
You wont see fuel leaking generally. The fuel line from the tank all the way to the fuel pump is a suction line. Its very easy for it to suck a little are, and cause you all sorts of grief. The temp sensor is in the back on the drivers side head. Has 2 wires on it.
You have an air leak in your fuel system. High revving, and starting trouble are major indicators.
BTW, watch your volt meter.... you shoudl be able to see the relay cycle the glow plugs there.
First I would determine for sure if the glow plugs are cycling at the time it wont start. If they arent, the Temp switch is a good place to start. The relay could also be malfunctioning, or possibly (maybe even more likely) the controller card is failing. If the glow plugs are working, you...
You got it. Instead of grounding through the case, they put a specific ground stud on the back. The reason for this, is to wire 2 alternators in series in order to produce the 24v.
Something you might look at, is there is a small push on terminal on the back of the alternators. Make sure...
