    M916/920 vs M1088

916/920 are poor performers off road with the cookie cutter highway tires.

Best M35 year and model ?

A2 for sure. Best deuce the Army ever had.

    Transmission Problems

With the truck idling in park, the torque converter is transmitting motion to the planetaries in the transmission as well as the transmission oil pump. Resealing the transmission is not too difficult, remove the transfer first, then slide the transmission back onto a stack of wood.

Sweet telephone truck! When these dot 3 brake fluid trucks sit forever, the fluid tends to leak out of the wheel cylinders and make a big rusty mess on the shoes and drums. Try backing off the shoes and dragging the truck back and forth to pop the shoes loose. If the drums stay stuck, it...

It's one of these, not sure which: Insulgrip Twist-Lock | Locking Devices | Wiring Devices | Electrical & Electronic | Products | Wiring Device - Kellems (hubbell.com)

Once again into the (electrical) breach (24v trouble light)

That is a baby Hubbell twist lock. M915s have the socket for that light mounted in the cab.

    Identify air fitting - Alemite

That is your axle vent. There is nothing wrong with it. What has failed is a wheel hub CTIS seal which is pressurizing your axle housing. Edit: Well you added more pictures. It is not your axle vent.

    WC62 project

Is that hard cab a military kit? Looks like there is a cutout for the front of the bed. Never seen one like that.

    1943 BX-2435 2.5kw genset

Adorable little unit. Be aware if you plan to actually use it, the grease in the armature end bearing might be no good after 78 years, leading to a failure. The oil pan may be half full of goop as well, leading to oil starvation.

    4L80E No shift from 2nd---SOLVED!

Well since you ALREADY read supplement 7, you know you are in limp mode and you have “undefined ratio errors”. That means the computer is expecting a certain numerical ratio between the tiss and toss and it’s not seeing that. Why is the question. Could be several reasons such as smoked...

    Looking for seats

Probably easiest to make a set. Use the #1, #3, and #5 stave from a M35A2 set. Get the red oak slats made at a local mill.

M915: some sage advice needed - Freezing Trouble

I replaced the prehistoric AD5 with a Haldex Purest. It will fit in the factory location barely.

    Transmission Problems

I would start by verifying if the PRND21 detents inside the transmission are lining up with the steering column indicator.

    M1152 400 Amp Alternator

Couldn't agree more. That engine moves around and a massive short will burn your truck down.

    M101A3 tires

Wes or try Feltz tire. Tell them you want 37s factory mounted on combat rims ready to go. Save yourself huge headaches dealing with run flats and hidden punctures.

    M1097A2 stop light issue

I would focus on the brake light switch. It causes headaches. The report that your 4 ways works rules out the bulb filaments, lamp grounds. You should have the dual brake light switch. Are you sure it is connected correctly? Is the linkage set up right? Put your ohmmeter on the switch...
