The only one who seems offended is you, I’m not sure how you arrived at all of this…I posted that the damn nut was backwards, I posted about the spindle nuts In General and pics, nothing to get all worked up about
spindle nut tab washers are used in just about every type of wheel setup ive ever worked on, Trailers, trucks…you name it, this is not a hmmwv thing.A few people have made this a bigger issue than it is IMO, folks have almost zero insight into why the spindle nuts were to be checked…well, it’s...
So did anyone notice the spindle nut is installed incorrectly? The lock washer isn’t failing, the nut is on backwards, in addition, I suspect the spacers were installed incorrectly or not at all…
The speedo adapter will just connect to your existing speedo cable, it’s the same on the 242 as it is on the 218.
the other sensor is the Tcase lock lamp switch….not required but there is a harness for it and a Tcase lock lamp For it.
the heat melts the sealant that was applied, it’s also about impossible to heat just the case and not the plug, using an EX out is a last resort, most times heat and vice grips, EZ out only if there is not enough exposed threads to grab.
I doubt anyone is going to drive the EZ out in 2in, the plug is in the sump of the hub, but if that’s the case perhaps they should take it to a qualified shop.
propane torch and an easy out….probably do 1 or 2 a week, entire process is 5mins from start to finish, the plugs are soft material, looking at the pic, you didn’t drill the hole large enough, get it in there deeper, you have plenty of room, hammer the EZ out into the hole to get a good bite.
rods and ends are different based on what truck you have…All A2’s and above use shorter rods than A0-A1, the control arm covers are a different angle.
The radius of the Rod ends has changed as well, but are interchangeable on any model despite that radius change.
