I'm interested in the differences too. I just bought a LDS465-1a from GSA last week. High bidder backed out and they let me have it being #2. It was rebuilt but never run. It has no injectors but otherwise complete. The write-up on it said 140 hp but none of the above in the chart have that...
I went out to try an tell how many wires come out of the alternator but its not easily accessed and I can't see any wires at all. Its very enclosed with all the sound deadening insulation. The breaker on it isn't labeled so without a manual I don't know how many amps. Its a Leroy-Somer 15K...
I posted it on USHIP and got a couple of bids in the $1200 range. I will probably take one of those if spmething else doesn't come up very soon. I don't have the time to do it myself and its hard to imagine a trip like that in my Deuce even if I had the time. At 50mph it would take at least 2...
Thanks for the input. My electrical knowledge is very limited. It says on the machine that the voltage between phases must be kept within 10%. There is a selector switch that I believe reads the voltage between the lines. There is a junction box L1,L2,L3,L4, no plug-in for the 208 volts. There...
Its built by Stewart-Stevenson on a trailer. It says 15K CTMGSA or CMTGSA. I don't have a manual and am trying to figure out what I have here. It says 208V 3PH with a plug in for 120V. 60Hertz. I need an education if someone can help. Thanks
I would like one too. From this thread I take it that the Zenith is the one of choice. Can anyone explain why this is so? I also read somewhere that they look alot different. Are they a straight swap? I have a Zenith on mine. Thanks
front winch drive shaft
I'm interested in your measurements also. I need to have one made. Can't find one out here in Oregon and I'm willing to drive to Idaho, and Washington. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I was told that 5 ton gassers and multi-fuels used the same shaft. The 800 series is...
I've noticed M52a1 GVW's that are different. The only visible difference is a winch. I've seen them 39k and 43k. Is the winch the reason or is it something else. Thanks, Greg
I ran across 4 of this size tire near me. Are they an odd size? They are 46" tall. Would they match with 14.00 R20 tires. How wide can tires be in the front for the 5 ton? I'll have to check circumference too. Anyone have them on their 5 ton?
Thanks,
Greg
I Thought I'd ask a question about Gov't Liquidation since alot of you guys here have dealt with them. Are they in the habit of pulling auctions that are posted but the bidding hasn't begun. I thought I'd watch a few things that looked interesting that were to start soon but when I came back a...
Since it is USAF it had to be built after 1947. Today I found a little more info. According to Yale by the serial # it was built in 1952. I hope theres a parts truck out there somewhere. Greg
