It would bump up the weight a little bit but I've seen the M105 body on the M116 chassis and it fits pretty well. It was an A3 chassis with the bigger tires though. The extra width between the rear fenders and the added foot in length would be nice if you can handle the weight. Just a thought.
Congrats, that is one of the most universal trailers out there. May I ask what you towed it home with and how it towed? I'm sure you barely noticed it.

This is where the M101A3 shines with 55" between the inner fenders. My Clubcar Turf2 fits nicely but is just a bit too long to close the gate.

I suffered through this 10 years back or so. I ended up building a fixture to enter the bow pocket from the bottom and after jacking it up a bit, I wailed on the trailer with a sledge. the shock eventually broke them free. Wasn't easy and the trailer had scars.
