Do you know why the grease is used?
Do you know where the grease is applied?
Someone better tell the soldiers to stop using grease, RTV and god knows what else, I do a set of RF’s every week unfortunately and it’s always fun to see what was done by the previous installer.
Huh? Where did I mention 60amp serpentine?
as I’ve previously stated “unsuccessfully it appears“ you have 2 options for your pulley, the current small pulley or the larger clutch pulley.
you only have to go to our company FB page to see over a year ago the write I did on this very issue, that and the other
numerous 400’s removed and replaced with 200amp. Ive posted many photos of the damage these 400’s can cause and have caused…
unfortunately folks don’t like my answer’s when I...
There are drain plugs on the block to drain the water jacket, pull the cold advance, pull the temp sending unit…you will get plenty of coolant, but the block plugs are at the bottom, so you get everything
Here is what I know, anyone who owns or owned an A2 truck ”2.73” and than hops into a ECV/REV truck, will immediately think they are missing the overdrive gear…
indicated RPM’s and pulley size is a major factor, I’ve already done this circle jerk over a year ago.
The diffs are 3.08, thats the only diff used in an ECV…its not an unknown.
One of the more confusing pages of the install of a 400amp…”if you already have a pulley, install it”, as far as I know, only the clutch pulley is and was ever used on ECV 200amp’s, so no mention of how that smaller fixed pulley got introduced.
Also, for anyone installing a cLuther pulley, the...
Guys, the 400amp uses either a fixed pulley “smaller”or the “Clutching“ pulley just depends on what you got from
auction. I’ve found it’s hit or miss what you get, The clutch pulley is larger, thus the indicated rpm’s is lower.
Reason is simple for smaller pulley , The Gen puts out 185 amps at...
The 3.08 diffs have a much lower top end…I own 6 or 7 ECV’s, they all tach extremely higher than my M1123’s with 2.73’s.
This assumes 37in tires, TC locking and unlocking as it should.
Turbo harness requires some extensions and rewire because the body harness is not the same as the ECV harness, the ECV harness moved some things around and deleted some others.
I have new NOS turbo engine harnesses for sale…
I do motor swaps in my sleep and by myself…I would never think of having all that serp in the way, the Generator already makes contact with components on the drivers side, the crank pulley will contact crossmembers going in.
Ive never reused an NA harness on a Tuebo motor, that’s like a nickel...
