The snap-on tool they sell for that job is 9/16 as linked above so that 1/2" X 7/16" might not work
I am a little confused as the bolts that hold the calipers on my M998s are allen head.
I finally got my sisters Kubota RTV1140 out of my "lift" bay (blown head gasket)
So I got the DuraVee into the bay and installed the right condenser, the wife helped me get into place.
I went ahead and removed the fill pipe, this is made easier by the fact there is a rubber hose connection just...
Thanks, if the tank is 14" then I can work with that measurement!!
Actually that would work out perfectly, they build one that is 13 3/4 and recommend 1/4" clearance.
Hopefully someone has one of these laying around, I need the measurement of the length of the tube so I can have a custom one built for my next project.
Honestly though finding a decent used system would be the easiest, next would be finding a GOOD muffler shop to fab up a complete system, that may be a challenge, the shops around here only turn out crap.
Put a want in the classifieds.
Here is the link to the Summit site, it is the first (rear) and the third and forth one listed although for some reason I cannot get the "fitment" to match any "Hummer" odd.
Despite the fact it lists the first one as a "passenger rear" as we know both the rear shafts are the same length...
I have had mixed results with the Autozone and Summit half shafts, both have a lifetime warrantee, obviously made by the same company, I think the Summit ones are cheapest now if you buy more than one and get fee shipping.
Remove the fact my Duramax powered truck can spin those shafts until the...
Well the 07 GM used side post batteries of which I did not have any so I pulled the batteries out of the truck, patched the holes with epoxy and scavenged electrolyte from some old batteries and to my surprise after a couple days of cycling from charge to repair and back both batteries came to...
That is what the TCM is looking for, I would stick it back together and see if that code comes back.
Code 73 is the TCM saying it does not see the correct resistance (circuit error) if the resistance is correct then the error is in the TCM or the wiring between the J1 TCM connector and the TCM...
I found the oil leak, the front diff. was driven into the oil pan, looks like both the steel and aluminum part of the pan will need replacing but at least it is not a rod hanging out of the block and it looks like I can still "test" run the engine but it will be leaking oil...
Going to try and...
When looking at 657, it grounds to turn on the trans light, I have never looked for a positive voltage but it would be there if the TCM was not trying to turn on the trans light, the other lead to the trans light is hot (12V) all the time, so 657 would be "hot" until the TCM grounds it to turn...
As I understand it the JLTV is somewhat of a failure and a big chunk of money that was allocated to buy them has been re-directed to the purchase and or refurbishment of more HMMWVs.
There are also allot of foreign sales of the HMMWV...
So I assume you are not seeing the correct ohmage (open) at that plug?
It certainly can be an open or shorted solenoid but it usually is an open in the wiring, the internal trans harness seems to be a popular issue.
If you cannot get to the plug on the trans to check (why there is a "test" plug)...
