Most any 16" tire will fit. You will need the correct tube and a flap. Most tire shops that service big trucks are up to the task.

Can you post a pic of your bucket and the mounting area? We should be able to determine what's wrong from there.

There may be some common brake parts with the M37 but other than that, not much of a market for that axle. Anything you can get probably. Keeping the factory springs is the best route. The cost of a new axle varies with size brakes etc.

There are some great resources in the CUCV forum including a wiki and links to manuals. I just had that problem the other week. It was either going to be the controller card or the solenoid. Since the card was a 1 minute fix I swapped the card. Ended up being the solenoid.
