Anyone know what TM has a brake diagram for the rear Rockwell axle? Basically looking for an exploded diagram of the parts and how to take it apart and what parts there are included.
It looks like my deal to sell my deuce is gonna happen so I can buy that M246 I have been drooling over. the...
Re: Wrecker
Jimmy, what size tires do you have on your M62? Is your bumper extended further than stock? Could you measure that for me please. the M246 I am looking at doesn't seem to extend that far out.
thanks
We have an Antique truck club that puts on a show every year( September?). Last year there were quite a few military trucks from my M35A2 to a Gama Goat to a Mule. I am sure more MV's are always welcome.
Re: RE: 14.00 x 20 singles on a wrecker?
Ron,
I found a guy on Ebay that quoted me $750 for 6 14.00 x 20 tires - 4 at 100% recaps and 2 at 70% or better. He said he is 100 miles south of Atlanta. Shipping would be the killer for me but it might work for you if your interested.
tires
Buggyman,
Did you flip the rear or use super single rims or what? Does the rear track inline with the front? Where did you get the tires?
Nice truck, looks great!!
Will this work on a 32,000lb wrecker? The rating is around 9900 per tire so thats almost 60,000 for 6. Do they fit on a 10" rim or do you need 12" wide rims?
Anyone got pictures of 14's single on a 5 ton?
RE: pics
I would really like to keep both, but financially its just not possible with all the Christmas bills and living on one income( wife is disabled). Between my rockcrawler, my 69 Camaro and my kids projects, I am not able to justify or support another vehicle without selling something...
RE: pics
I am going this afternoon to see if the farmer across from me wants to buy my deuce and trailer. If he agrees to buy them, then I will more than likely buy the 246.
thanks for the encouragement guys!
crane
I read the manual on the truck, can't recall off of the top of my head, but it didn't look too bad on extending the 2nd stage.
The other truck beside it is an old International dump I think, I didn't pay that much attention to it cause its in bad shape. The old guy is a pack rat and...

RE: motor mounts
I think that IF I buy this wrecker, I am gonna get the 602 running if I can, then worry about swapping engines.
I've got a feeling its gonna suck the money like a large quicksand pit!!
thanks for the info everyone
Anyone near that can go do an inspection on some tires there? I am looking for some and the GL descriptions are not matching to the description on the bottem of the page.
PM if/when your going and I will tell you what I am interested in.
thanks
Yea forgot to get some of the crane. The mud was like quicksand around there, surprised it hasn't sunk to the frame by now!!
Any advice on where to start on reviving a dead M246?
I am gonna call the guy and haggle over the price tomorrow and maybe have a new baby!!
