"How to get a HET in life..." - M1070 Acquisition thread

I use black PU-adhesive/sealant for such cases. It is much more rubber-like stuff and really sticks to whatever surface it was applied - fingers and skin included...! I have even fixed small punctures without disassembling the whole tire/ wheel. 2cents G.

Ross HF54 Power Steering in my Deuce

Now, do us all a favor: turn those shims around, front to rear... then try again. Why? because the way you installed them - according to the second pic - you ended with negative caster (!!), instead of 4-5º positive. G.

    Inner rear axle seal

The seal lip slips on the bearing face, not the hub. See this drawing.... G.

Dimensions, height of west coast mirrors

    1) You will have about 69", measured from the mirror arm's vertical post-lower tip, down to ground. 2) Distance between vertical posts is 93", so after folding-in both sides outer brackets/ mirror heads it would barely fit through that gate opening. G.

    Tranfer case hodgepodge

Josh: those large 33T-gears (#7521240) are exactly the same for both model T-cases. (as all the other gears inside the main housing are identical too, respectively.) Also, I have yet to find a high mileage unit where you could actually see/ feel/ measure ANY wear or other damage done to the...
