The first gen trucks are all mechanical. The cat dealer can make some adjustment and give you a bit more power. On the 5ton versions they have 290hp I believe the injectors are a bit larger as is the turbo.

There is a tm flowchart for low rear gladhand flow. I am leaning towards the tractor valve. Which can be rebuilt. I have a spare I would swap in and then play with the old one.
I can make you one out of a fancy Mercury marine switch. With an additional switched power lead you can use to control a relay and run accessories off of.

Out of the 3 check valves by the washer bottle, first one was ok. Middle one had a cracked diaphragm. Took one off my parts truck, verified the diaphragm was good and swapped it in the bad ones place. Still have the same problem. Tomorrow I will pull off the last one.
I have heard of guys adding atf, which is basically oil with additives, as extra lubricant in the diesel. I don't see any reason you shouldn't be able to add a quart to a tankful of fuel.
I dont think the check valve can be installed backwards its male/female. I am wondering if I have a hole in a service brake diaphragm or if air is going thru the treadle valve. Does the tractor protection valve have air supply to it if the spring brake dash control is not released?
