Forgetting the 2750# lets look at the numbers. Lunette height for the 105 is 36". Need to get it down to 24" for your CUCV. You would need at least a 10" shorter tire. Don't know what would fit. M101 is a much better choice in the long run.
I've had varying degrees of success using a small ball peen hammer and pecking at the wrench. Sometimes the brisk but not heavy impact will help break them loose. Don't overlook the benefit of tapping them tighter just a tad too.
Yeah, it's a CUCV unless that CUVU stands for something personal. See how irritable I get when you mess with my chili mac. I hear they go faster if you paint the black part of the camo chartreuse.
My burb tips the scales at 6200#. Just because of weight I have to run a heavy truck tag. It started life as a half ton but the axles were upgraded to 3/4 ton just to get the 4.10 gears. It does have a factory installed 6.2 and 700R4. I have put an additional 100,000 miles on it since I've...
A 14 bolt from a 3/4 ton will bolt right in. The tubes are a bigger diameter so the ubolts are wider as are the spring plates on top of the springs. Perches and shock mounts are exactly where they need to be. I have one swinging from the back of the wrecker right now. It's next in line for...
I won't tell you that you shouldn't but that feature can be useful if the truck ever gets stolen. Cops notice vehicles at night without lights. Unless its an M1010 you cal leave them in service drive too.
GSA, that's better, the SF should be in your name. Take that and your paid invoice to the tag agency and apply for a title. If you want tags you need your insurance into too. If you don't plan on driving it, plan to sign an affidavit swearing it won't be on the road.
Adam, When you apply...
When GL sells a vehicle to a FL resident, they issue a FL title. If they issued you the SF97 you should also have a re-assignment letter with it. If you bought the vehicle from a private seller and he passed the SF97 on to you, you are in for a steep uphill battle.
Clinto, I can take pics of it with both ends on it but not until Tuesday when I get off in the daylight. Working 15 today and tomorrow. As long as you drill it in the right place, they both fit quite nice. My deuce is gone but the first one I did was the M108 and its still here. It was my...
You should check with Vinny Socom1. He is seeking a ride the other way. Has desks in N GA along the I75 corridor. All else fails maybe a half way meet up.
I have seen only adapter plates as in your one pic. One of the coolest mods I did to my deuce that's sold was to add one of the HMMWV slave kits that flooded the market a few years back. I drilled a hole under the right headlight and it fits there like it was made for it. Best of all the cables...
There is a member that put a GM Tilt column in his deuce. The factory switch functions just as it would on any GM vehicle but it's on a deuce. Follow "Diablo Build" thread
