The switch on teh right needs to be in the top position. To do this, you need to pull out on the handle of the switch and flip it up.
Actually the 100 amp alt's in the CUCV's were rated for 100amps for longer periods than most the civvy models.
Run you wire all the way to the front battery ALWAYS when doing anything that requries large amounts of power. The engineers at GM did not design any of the existing wiring to carry...
I suspect its going to have a hard time with painting.... and it certainly wont run a sand blaster. If its the style i am picturing, its made more for air nailers and such.
Now that this has extended a little, I will toss in my input. I painted my 1009 with Aervoe almost 2 years ago. Looked great the first summer... But now I am noticing that any of the 'top' surfaces, such as the hood and roof, are starting to fade a little.

You certianly have an air leak. The top known spot for them in the CUCV's is the fuel pressure switch on the bottom of the filter housing. Your leak is most likely between the filter housing an the injection pump. Using air to pressurize the system from the fuel tank, really should point out...
I have winched several hundred apple trees over with my deuce (plus many other kinds of trees, and of course I winched the deuce out of my back yard :-) )
I use the pins from Memphis, and they work great. I can drag my truck anywhere with all 10 tires sliding with my winch. No issue at all...

I have been of the mind, as long as its not a 'new member' that is trying to post an off topic ad.... I dont have anything against it. Of course, this applied to the classifieds ad section.... not the forum that Chris just opened back up.
Personally, I have always been on both sides of this fence. Its alot easier to put your foot down, and say absolutley no classifieds in the forum. Thats the easy way to police it. On the other side, I agree, that some things for sale, need and deserve some conversation. This is why I havent...
