I think the rear axle on the right side may be part of the problem he is trying to relay. Not a bad job on the caged bumper lights. Is a Red rear bumper required in France?

I was looking at Youtube and saw my Sons M1028A1 with the reversed HMMWV wheels. This has been controversial in the past. But he ran that truck back and forth from Camp Lejeune twice a month for 3 years. Burned thru 4 sets of the old bias ply Goodyear Wrangler MT...
I would recommend using self tapping screws in the fiberglass top. I drill a 1/8" hole and used self tapping screws to mount high mount stop lights and an LED light bar on the rear roof area of an M1009. I also have a recessed LED license light in the M1009. I ran all the wires up from the...
That could be anything from rusted thru pinch weld in the windshield area to the vent seals on the air vents. These are not water tight and I have seen few that do not leak to some degree. Depends how hard the rain or how light the rain. Some are easy fix. Some not so easy. Get a light and lay...
??? I do. I am on earth. And every CUCV ever produced from 1983-1987 had Bronze interior panels and trim when it left GM Assembly 3100 Van Slyke Road Flint Michigan 48507. Why is that an issue? ;)
When ever I wheel my stock M1009 I think about these Hero's were doing in Europe with the little Jeep's. I had one of these Jeeps and it was fun. I can hardly imagine the work these guys went thru to get mobile. Wow. We are fortunate in todays world of off road.
Used my Crown of Thorns M1009 to haul a stump grinder and cut the stump from a huge Maple tree I cut down on April 2, 2017. Goal met. From tree to ground in less then 30 days. And still had time to , mow grass, ride motorcycle, go fishing and go off roading with the RC misfits. Now I must regain...
Checked all fuses. Everything looked good.
Yes fuse may look good. But is the fuse making contact in the metal clips. And is the fuse being held tight enough to make good contact. Also check the fusible links on the firewall under the hood. They may also look good. I have seen more then one...
Check a 20 amp fuse on the left side of the fuse box. I think about mid way up. It says engine control. Check it out and report back. That is a shot in the dark.
No. They are removable. They are also replaceable pre-chambers. Have the heads checked over at a competent automotive machine shop. They can reinstall or replace the pre-chambers. I have my heads disaaasembled and gone over entirely every time I remove them. Any engines I work on. Waste of time...
I just had a driveshaft rebuilt this week for Terminus M1009. That was both U joints balanced and all $169.70. That sort of takes the guess work out of it. I heard the squeaking Saturday at RC and was surprised to find both U joints bad. The yoke I replaced with a Yukon yoke from Autozone. I...
Can anyone tell by looking at this poor picture what type of tow bar this is. I seen some adapters for sale in the parts for sale classified and wanted to know if this would be a good CUCV tow bar. And if the adapters that are for sale will be compatible. I know it is not the best picture. But I...
Of course I do. I use a chain wrapped from the D rings zipped tied back the length of the tow bar and snap linked to the 2 center uprights of the brush guard and hooked into the back side of the brush guard. It is not going anywhere unless I want it to. I towed these CUCV's thousands of miles...
These were all taken in CUCV M1008. The one with the generator lights on was when the belts came off and all I had was the PS belt and water pump. I was driving hard to get back home before dark. The second picture is of the Mule M1009. The third is the Big Red M1008. It is hard to show a...
