Prothane Prothane 7-1712-BL Black Big Block Radiator Isolator I found these on Amazon. make sure they are for a BIG BLOCK. These said BIG BLOCK. Be sure before ordering.
I think you can get that washer/sprag/push nut/keeper out and just push it back in after the rod. Did instructions come with it. Check back. I am relying on memory. But I have dealt with this issue a few times with others.
The brass/copper adapters are not needed. And yes the O-Rings are on the aluminum oil cooler lines. GM has discontinued the O-rings. I have been using standard O-rings from a hardware store or auto parts store. That radiator is toasted. May I suggest you replace the radiator support mounts. They...
Exactly. That star piece is the sprag washer I am referring to. You need to remove that and use the pushrod that is in there and the star/sprag washer. That is the piece you do not put in. Look at the new one. You need that star/sprag in there. Report back. I know all the remanufactured ones I...
Today I rolled up the back window of my Mule M1009. it is up for the season. I cleanede all the leaves and saw dust out of the bed. Last week I used it to haul a lot of wood. I do NOT have any trailer queens. I use them and seldom abuse them.
I think you need to use your old push rod. Check it out. You forgot to put your old push rod in. The push rod and the sprag washer do not come with most of the boosters. Don't feel bad. I know another guy that did the same thing. No it was not me. But the guy wanted to sell me his truck for...
I was going to tell you about the lube on the buckets and support but I thought you already knew that. The bolt and nut method would be a PITA to do slight adjustments for inspection. We have Pennsylvania state safety inspection and headlamp adjustment is part of that. I found that once must...
Take every one you see at the YOUPULLIT. I take every headlamp bucket I see. I just snagged 2 sets of Astro van seat base pedestals to mount in some M1009's. The original ones are to high for the GM seats out of the 2017 vans. But finding the correct thread nut sert would work or just getting...
I have halogens and LED's on snow plow trucks. The only difference is the ice sticks to the halogens with a 1" gap in the ice to the glass surface and the lights are worthless. With the LED headlamps on the plow set up the snow and ice sticks to the surface and the lights are still brighter...

That is what the fan will sound like constantly. Robbing power from the powerful 6.2 V 8 Detroit Diesel engine. With a whopping 135 HP I would think the clutch fan with the 5 blade stock fan would be the way to go. Never broke one yet and the replacement clutch is a...
Bingo. You are a winner. I see the carnage every week of these poor trucks that get into the hands of hackers. They cut everything out and add everything and still can't get them to run and start. I know a lot of bad information is out there. And many act like it is sworn gospel. I am guilty of...
I am thinking along the line of a starter support bracket. Maybe missing a bolt/nut or just loose. Also the starter heat shield may be involved. Check it out and report back. If you find the starter bracket was loose I would replace the starter bolts as a precaution. About $10. Beats the pants...
If it were mine. The first thing I would do is service the transmission and the transmission filter. I have solved a lot of whining transmissions with a good fluid and filter change. It does sound like a little electric car when it is whining. Good Luck. About $50. for parts and fluid.
I got 3 new ones in a sealed box from a guy that was working on a base. Marked CUCV. I put one on and it lasted for 1 year. I put another one on a friends and it would not even start. I used the 3 rd one as a core and had it rebuilt. The reason is unknown. But it seems they were about 20 years...
I just bought a rebuilt 6.2 pump from DCP in Memphis. Still cost me $300. I know I have heard a lot of bad mouthing on here about them. But they always worked for me and my friends. We must be the lucky ones. But it is an E bay item. And whether you get the same pump back that you send them...
Anything that is worth having has a price. Mostly junk is cheap and you will never get anywhere trying to go the cheap way. If so I never found it. Cheap is just that cheap. You will be exuberant. I know it as a fact. I have them on 3 trucks for over 2 years. No problems with ice or flickering...
2 more weeks is your vehicle ready? No sign up here. Just show up. I will be bringing a load of wood up on Friday night. I will drop it off and whoever wants it can have it. Anyone need any mud flaps or tail lamps? I have lots of the HD rubber mud flaps. All freebies. And the wood I don't care...
The rain has stopped. My 2016 vacation time is over. But I still managed to get the tree cut down. I called out the local CUCV Militia and we pulled it off. The yard was wet so I pulled the chipper with the Crown of Thorns M1009. I used the Mule M1009 to haul the wood and the M1028 dump truck to...
If you are leaking gear oil out of the transfer case. You have serious issues. The transfer case and transmission have ATF in them. Or they are supposed to have ATF in them. Also the rear of the transmission has a seal in it to prevent the ATF from leaking back from the transmission into the...
NO. Why would it be normal? I did mention the bell shape of the drums and the new shoes not conforming to the shape. Did you replace or have the drums cut/trued? Not many people know how to cut rotors and drums anymore. Everyone just replaces parts and never gives the reusable parts a second...
