    It will be easier to get them in with the body (frame) lifted with a jack, but you should be able to do it without. Just go to any auto parts place and get cheap shocks. If you are on a budget, get what you feel you can afford.

    Didn't the 5 tons have severe sheet metal issues in Vietnam from the weight of the air cleaner on the fenders? I am curious if you encounter cracks in a few months from the weight!

    It is completely bolted back together (minus gas tank and radiator) and has the correct rust free gasser sheet metal. Can't wait till the move to WY so I can start working on them again!
