I have a mep-006a it has no power to the electric fuel pumps and no power to the day tank solenoid or relay. No power to the fuel cut solenoid unless battle short switch is on. Still no power to electric pumps or day tank solenoid with battle short switch on. Fuel pumps and day tank solenoid and...
Sometimes you can have a stored code and the light will be on. It can clear itself over time. There is a handheld reader that plugs into the abs diag port its 4 prong on the passenger dash underside.
I got them a few years ago on the off chance that LMTVS would come along eventually. Its still in current mil inventory I don't think too many kits have come out.

The kit came with new thicker power cables, 200a reverse polarity protector module and a new pulley for the new alternator. I think the only things we reused were some of the alternator mounting bolts. Everything needed was in the kit plus extras for different variants.

The parts tm has the full breakdown of the unit. I am pretty sure you can order any part of it from an spx dealer. I have a few cores I want to rebuild as spares I wonder if a major rebuild kit is available.

It would be awfully slow with smaller tires. Mine does 57 tops. Good to know they can actually go offroad. Not too many places where I am to do it though. All the trails are jeep size I would end up stuck between 2 trees. GP takes a long time with paperwork. In CT I can just do a bill of sale...
In the 5 tons you have to update the flasher module sometimes. I think the humvee uses the same flasher part. Maybe you have the older version installed.
Mine was shifting funny I replaced the speed sensor with a used one from another truck I have and right away it shifted better and the speedo started working correctly. 2 weeks later the brand new sensor that I ordered came in and now it shifts even better. I could see harness issues arising...
I am adding flood lights, stereo and some other stuff. The original alt 100 amp output rating is combined between 12 and 24 volt. It's like a 24 volt alternator with a 12 volt tap off halfway down the coil. I was having some odd issues I think we're caused by the original rev polarity protection...
Did the 200A alt swap today. Not hard but time consuming. The kit was a bit confusing there are extra parts for different variants but no install manual just diagrams and the parts TM diagrams were very helpful. With the original alternator the voltage would dip down a bit here and there, still...
With the relay in the power panel the rotator works with headlights on and is controlled via the dash switch. The truck power switch does not need to be on. The magnet mount is not confidence inspiring though.
