I have one the spring throttle return was weak and it would idle way too high. The trans would always engage though it didnt seem to care about the rpms. I added a big spring on the engine and it fixed it.
Thats why the front gladhands have the pressure relief valves on them. They look just like axle vents. Bugs make a nest in your gladhand and clog it up and your brakes wont release.
If its just the 3 wires to the ignition switch you need to find the +24v with a test light first. The other 2 are crank and run if you get them wrong you can switch them. If you are hotwiring it the run will need power while you crank for the fuel solenoid.
Check the harness between shift pad and ecu. Clear the codes. Make sure you have good running voltage. LMTVs have lots of issues with low voltage. If that dosnt work then I would replace the shift pad.
Press arrow up and arrow down at once and you can see stored error codes. There is a code guide online to reference. The harness and connectors going into the trans computer located behind the keypad can come loose and cause all kinds of issues.
What accessories are you planning on wiring? I would independently fuse or breaker each accessory. If you have 12v accessories a power converter from 24-12 might work well. Small stuff like adding a cig lighter socket is fine tapping between the batteries.
There should be a D stamped on the data plate its a bit larger than the serial lettering. That means the front driveshaft was updated the original design had issues.
I believe they have planetary hubs so there is gearing there also. Did you check the fluid first? I have new in the crate complete rear ends for the 5ton lmtv I think they are the same for the 2.5t.
You want to bypass the fuel cut solenoid on an nhc250 engine? So it will run with a dead battery? There is a thumb screw on the front top of the fuel solenoid housing. Yes turn the knob.
Check all the dash harnesses. Look at the alternator running make sure both lights on the regulator are flashing green. Could be a bad cits ecu the easiest way to rule it out is to swap in a known good one, make sure the ctis ecu has a good ground. Under the relay breaker panel right side is a...
Since the lights are 12v you could get a whelen or alike light controller and upgrade to the super bright led blinkers, add some side led warning and have some really neat flashing lights. You should be able to tap all 4 corners at the dash. They make small side warning lights that are very...
