No reason to be sorry for being proud of helping to maintain the C-130. I got to ride in a few traveling back and forth between saudi and kuwait back in the 90's when I was in and loved every flight.
:-D I remember when we had clean our trucks to fly out to NTC. Hours and hours at the wash rack. Those Loadmasters are pretty stringent on what goes into "their" planes.
I think its time to close this thread. The OP hasnt been back on SS since his last post on page 4. (unless he's lurking here and just not signing in) Im sure he discovered we (SteelSoldiers) are not the crowd he was looking for. The discussion of the flipped cucv on the trailer needs to be taken...
Have you ever seen someone running a business for profit say "oh you just want it for fun? well go ahead and take one." Why would they let you get one for less than what they can sell it to you for. Remember some of these dealers have overseas contracts to fill for big $$$$
Bigger tires or pony up for some pricey (very pricey) ring and pinion sets for the axles.

I say build it and pull it. OFF ROAD ONLY!! On road your just taking to much of a chance with other peoples lives. After a couple of trails either you are going to want to get rid of it or others on the trail will want you to get rid of it.
Is a "flitch plate" just a plate that extends from the deuce frame down to the 105 frame and bolted or rivited in the center of the respected frames? Would you still bolt the 105 frame to the deuce frame through the bottom of the deuce frame? I take it that that is what you mean by the "flange"...
You dont do an EUC before bidding. You bid, then if you are the high bidder in the end you fill out the EUC and wait to see if it gets approved.
By the way if you see some on GL do not post about them till after the auction is over.
