I have the breaker panels

The 8.3 has 2 thermostats next to each other. They are housed by the alternator. There are a few gaskets used in the replacement process along with 2 thermostats and thermostat gaskets.

I can vouch for the goop been using that stuff for years. Put sneaker soles back on with it. Sometime I will take a screw or two out from under the weatherstripping, poke a hole then screw it back in over. It won't fall off again.

None of my trucks blower motor work on low only high. I have the 12v tap on my batteries I though it was abs. There is an extra wire with a packard connector up by the blower motor zip tied. I had though that was for the low fan speed if you had a fan capable of it.

If its the newer style switch and that is diagnosed to be the issue there is a small hex screw on the side the switch can be taken apart and cleaned.

Bad idea even with the air dryer some moisture and dirt particles make their way into the air system. The ctis valve body is sensitive it needs the extra catch trap.

Sometimes you can take out the little piece inside with the o-ring and screw a schrader valve in.

Swap out the controller and column switch together see what happens. If not that then you may have burnt out the light switch itself. Not uncommon to do. All of the breakers are self reset.
