Get a trickle charger and block heater. It should start every time. My A2 truck will start at single digits after a minute or so of cranking. It's not happy about it but it goes. The trucks with the older 250 motor need a bit of extra help at that low temp.
Even with the window sticker back in the mid 90's at 29 Palms I had to show ID at the gate. Pendleton they would usually just wave you thru though I would go in one of the small gates not the main.
I have never weighed mine but the data plate should be accurate. When the military is loading equipment especially aircraft, if equipment weighs more than stated it can cause serious issues.
The whole system is one air line in and it splits off via a quick release valve on each axle, which all 3 are daisy chained. When the system sends pressure to fill, if a tire has less pressure then its less resistance to incoming pressure and that tire will fill. If all tires had equal pressure...
I will look I have one somewhere. Yours probably isn't bad though. The wheel leak is causing the valve to see less pressure and it thinks it should dump. If you fixed the wheel leak the problem should go away.
The m939a2 dump valve looks the same it may work. I can tell you that they don't go bad often. A system air leak like a bad hub seal will mimick a bad valve.
At 120 psi the ctis system will cut out to save air for truck use. You want to be around 135 and when driving the ctis will have all the air it needs. If your governor system is working but the air dryer is not expelling moisture after turning the governor up a bit, check the line going to the...
There is a valve body in the cab for the ctis. Air comes into the ctis system thru this valve then out to the wheels. You will hear air sounds in the cab but no air should escape. If air is coming out of the valve body then it needs to be rebuilt. The air dryer is all mechanical. The air line...
It's a release of air from the brake system. The trucks will make a wide variety of honks and groans from the stack. It's normal. But somewhat annoying.
Maybe the stock 60a alternator just isnt enough to charge both banks. After you installed the second one and before it went bad, what did your voltage gage show?
I always thought it was the pump pump pump of the lift pump going and the return fuel pulsing back to the tank. And if the tank level was low the return into the tank reverberates.
When you flush it out you need to drain it and then take off the upper radiator hose and stick a water hose in there to really get all the rust and gunk out. I have heard stories off all kinds of yuck and gunk coming out.
