OK and before that, did you jack up the complete front axle and turn the wheels in both directions as suggested??
If not, then at least slide either side axle shaft back in and you should be able to turn it by hand in both directions with only little, steady resistance; with the propeller shaft...
Rustygears: agreed to everything. Just one minor correction: Not 10 inches. Conti specifies 11"rim width for their 14.5R20 MPT80 and 11-12" for the little wider 365/80R20 MPT81.
As for these radials, I can speak from personal good experience.... and have said it before: this IS the ideal tire...
I would say so, and in most cases the 12' bed is enough to accomodate something like a Jeep or compact SUV and be able to remove the ramps after loading.
Otherwise I would not rely on the tailgate chains/ hooks to support anything over 1000 lbs.
First pic gives an idea of what was done for a...
Very simple: if you (or the dealer) can't find the "MPT" anywhere in their catalog description or on the tire's side wall it is 99.9% they aren't...!
If in doubt ask the seller for pics; not only showing those letters, (raised/ moulded), but also the DOT date of manufacturing!

Yes, it depends mainly on your skills to modify what does exist out there...

I only have the 5ton PTO but no 5ton transmission to count gear teeth.
Anyone knowing, for this 5th direct tranny: 1) input to (driven)counter gear ratio; 2) 2nd speed countergear to reverse idler gear; 3) tooth count on reverse idler gear (that's easy, with the PTO off).......???????

YES. You will find the min. breaking strenght for a new, good quality 1/2" 6x19 IPS wire rope specified at over 21,000 lbs....
Interesting enough, in extreme situations when our (OEM) pin is about to shear at close to 300 ft-lb while winding in the first layer on bare drum the tension on the...
YES, IF..... that winch was fully functional...(?) and he knew how to possibly operate it, one-man...!?
Guess someone in that situation, who doesn't notice that the front wheels were NOT spinning (!) should better call for help, anytime!
BTW: there are better ways to attach a recovery...
Those are MPT tires, just like the original Michelins and they perfectly match the A3 wheels.
Good general info here: Continental Industry -MPT tires
