Hmmm, why do folks think this white X means something bad? In my shop on builds I do exactly this to visually see that I have filled the hub, diff, Tcase etc.

You can run on a bad fuel pump and never know it’s bad....that is until you open your water separator drain.
ive had this happen while on duty doing PMCS, actually happend on a truck that was over full on fuel on the JI line and needed to be less then a 1/4 tank for loading.

As I pointed out, that solenoid pack looked wrong, the rear MM winch only has hydraulic fittings, the solenoid pack and all control functions are completely separate.
Looks as though you added the solenoid pack to the winch?
thats not how I mounted mine....I used a rear winch manifold and put it where it comes from the facorty, I just shortened the hydraulic lines that were provided in the kit.
Most people beleove that the only reason for the box is glow plugs, that’s only one function.
folks find out all to often that’s not the case...usually once they see smoke and sparks.
You very well will need more then an engine harness...you can bet your EESS is fried as well, possibly body harness as well, do a good inspection and open up your EESS and take a visual and sniff test.
You are correct, most did not, but it was enough of a concern to Sh*t can the box by TACOM. The KDS S3 has so far been out standing.
kinda goes hand in hand with the Gigital light switch ...the so called replacement for the 3 lever, those have toasted a few trucks as well. I say, “why take the risk”

good choice...funny, but I’ve intalled so many S3 EESS’s ive lost count, never had a bad KDS mfg’dS3, but have however had 2 bad Nartron S3’s and both exhibited the same problem.

I’ve bought more trucks then most people....lost count, I’ve had good luck, I’ve gotten Rome with a blown motor, body damage not pictured, they took care of the issues and I was happy.
You will also have to unspool the cable and rewrap it so the cable feeds out through the fairlead correctly.
ive installed several rear MM’ on the front.
Unless the compressor pulley is a different diameter then a standard pancake compressor “OEM”, there is no need to drill that hole on the new style cast Compressor bracket....I’ve only ever installed factory AC, not the red dot kits.
if your not running a compressor, there is a delete kit.
