I'm not sure if others have experienced this problem, but I've used two different robo-impacts and they both struggled to remove the lugnuts from an M105A2 trailer. I don't know if the guy that mounted the tire/rim might have overtightened them to begin with (I've actually seen a stud turned...
I don't think you can restore the background color once it has faded badly. You might have trouble finding some of the more rare dataplates, but most of the common ones are around. Try www.mvdataplates.com.
I am not sure if they changed their formula in the last few years, but I've seen terrible fading problems from Aervoe paint. I've seen semi-gloss that literally turned to pink! I've seen this on several trucks with Aervoe paint...not just one or two...and with different variations of green...
I guess I need to add that you'll have to rub/wipe with a rag for a bit, but I was able to restore a plate to near original condition...at least it looked original compared to the faded area that had no overspray!
Guys, The motor in Kenny's truck looks like something out of Hot Rod Magazine! That trucks runs very well...and I've NEVER heard another whistler scream like that truck! Not only does it sound great, but that truck pulls harder than any deuce I've driven. (Kenny...let the boys know what they...
....just re-read my post. I did not mean it to sound so gruff. I meant to say..."I bet this is FD info and you can not share it:"...and for that reaon..."I doubt I'll get a response." Sorry 'bout that.
BIGMIKE, if you re-read my original post, you'll see that I said that "some" SW dealers will not sell CARC to civilians. If yours does...great...you are lucky! Don't mention anything and keep buying it! Guys...for the love of God...please remember your fresh air breathers. :)
Some Sherwin-Williams dealers will NOT sell this paint to civilians. I was able to get some, but only because I have a friend that is a military contractor...and he had to place the order. I have the water-borne CARC on my HEMTT and I can say that I like it.
You've probably already thought about this, but my recommendation is to sell your trailer and find a trailer with everything you need. Those trailers are not too common, but they are around. I would think you'd have more luck finding another trailer than you would finding a residue trailer...
Some where on the Internet, there used to be (or possibly still is) a site that a guy in the military created. It showed him during various deployments. One in particular showed two HEMTT wreckers dragging a loaded tractor trailer up an icy mountain with all of its brakes locked up. Man...
I agree...I'm a box-seat man, myself. I've had numerous deuces with the sprint seat and only a few with the box seat. I've driven a few trucks 17 hours straight or more and I can honestly say that the ol' butt feels much better with a real seat (cushion over springs) than foam on top of...
It can lift 2500 pounds out to 19 feet and 4500 pounds at 9 feet out. It will run down the highway at 65+ mph, but I don't run it over 57 mph or so. I believe GVW is 64000 (although it is higher if you consider the towed load).
After seeing the pictures that Dave (N3UKA) posted, I thought I would post a few pics of my HEMTT. A huge "thanks" goes to David Doyle for taking these shots.
Enjoy...
Speaking of first class, James, I am envious of your stable! You've got some beautiful trucksm too. I drool over that M911 (not to mention your M1075 and the M816)...one of these days, I'll get one. :D
I've owned several M939 series trucks (M936A2, M932A2, M929A1, M928A1, M932) and currently own a few more (two M925A2s and an M929) so I have experience with both motors. While I love the NHC250, I prefer the 6CTA 8.3L motor. The 6CTA just seems more snappy and it sure is much quieter. For...
