RE: Re: RE: Cummins smoke
I saw told this motor was made in a big cam version. possibly the turbo version and that cam can be installed in our small cam motor.
deuce winch on a 5T... hum.. a winch thats way too small for a deuce and you want to put it on a truck that could weight um twice what a deuce weights. not a good idea. find a 5T winch and do it right.
RE: Cummins smoke
you can check all my recent topics about how under powered the cummins is and what all I have done to get more out of it. basically your stuck with it. I have added a pyro and checked the egt and it's where it should be. Can't go higher and cant advance the pump or timing...
well thats what I am trying to do. make some power without going over 1200 deg egt. I know if you go over it you will damage the motor. I'm not sure what you mean by groom the exhaust and intake over. do you mean porting and polishing or what?
I'm all for swapping cams, somebody just tell...

what role does timing play in a diesel engine?
I'm not new to tuning and such but I got to thinking and thats what usually gets me in trouble but I can't stop thinking about how to get some more power from my 818.
here are some what if's and I hope some on here can help.
I am getting 1200 deg...
the eng itself does not care but be warned your mileage will drop significantly on E85. Most after market injectors I use will work with E85 and the after market fuel pumps as well. Your biggest problem is the eng managements system. it needs to be tuned for the E85 bc you will need a lot...
Re: RE: charging 6utl batteries
absolutely. I have a trickle charger for every vehicle. if I dont drive it for more than 3 days it goes on the charger.
good score. I was looking at that thing for about 2 weeks. I just couldnt spent 200 on it bc I dont have a wrecker and it didnt have a cable. it's a great buy for you bc you already have both, congrats.
