    454 is a pos motor in stock form. it may have a little more power but it's longevity is aweful. not to mention the MPG's will be even worse witha 3spd or whatever trans you decide to use.

    Re: RE: Did a little hauling EGT Results it's the one I was telling you about on the thread you started. It's a M270A1. 40' deck. I uploaded all the TM's for it to the site. I spent 3500 for the tralier. 500 to fix the brakes and 1k to replace the floor with pressure treated wood.

    1200deg was 1700-2100 rpms long hard uphill pulls 3rd,4th and 5th gears and I haven't yet touched the pump. I was hoping to turn it up some but it looks like I haven't any room to turn. eng was running about 180deg OAT was 73 and a lsight wind. I am going to guess the rig weights about...

    Still havent touched the pump setting but I'm now seeing 1200 deg on the egt with this load. So I dont know what I'm going to do now.

    mine did it at 30k miles indicated on the speedo. I dont think my speedo had been swapped.

    I tried to use the primer pump to do it but I got tired after 10 min and put the ether to it. ran it for about 20 sec and she was good to go.

    time for new case. mine was doin this and I had to replace it. you can fix them but they are usually cheaper to replace.

    I saw the kit for the 5T last night. it bolts to the fender support by the inj pump/air pump. there was a pic in the manual as an add on kit.

    you are right. but I havent touched it yet. I simply ran it stock to see where I am at. I will try tomorrow to make an adjustment with the screw. that provided I can get to it.

    fuel filter is a 3401 from napa. or wix 33401 from anywhere else. seach will net you the oil filter.

    I will have results tomorrow. I had to finish some other stuff with the truck today. I did look at my pump and I have a steel plug in there. so it wont be as easy for me to get to that screw but I will prevail.
