Trying M813s and M939s at Tractor pulls

I had to use a 3 foot tow strap between my rear shackles to be at the right height for the sled hook. I wish there was more stuff like that by me.

Trying M813s and M939s at Tractor pulls

That's awesome. How much did the sled weight or what was the sled weight up to when he stopped? Most of the pulls by me don't allow anything over 10k lbs.

    Wheel gasket help?

It needs the o ring and the beadlock. Call and order the thickest o ring for the 5 ton rim application.

    Wheel gasket help?

There are a few versions of the 5-ton rims and I have seen 3 different o-rings. I only use the super thick ones no matter what style rim. The different rims have different numbers of bolts holding the 2 pieces together and the seal spot where the o-ring sits is different. You have to clean off...

Mysterious air seeping out from under dash/normal or not ?

It is a air filter/catch can for the ctis feed. The cup part unscrews from the top. The filter piece will stay on the top assembly but you can unscrew it separately. Take the cap off the bottom and flip the cup upside down the guts will fall out. Screw in a schrader valve. On top of the cup sits...

Mysterious air seeping out from under dash/normal or not ?

That little air catch thingy is on the air supply line to the CTIS valve body. You can unscrew it dont loose the little o ring that sits on top. They all leak out the bottom you can take the inside valve piece out and usually screw a normal schrader valve into the bottom.

Hard downshifting? Really? Or is it you?

I have seen the gas pedal pivot get rusty and stick. You have to take it off, soak with wd40 and work it good and loose.

Hard downshifting? Really? Or is it you?

Idle should not be all over the place it should be in the 500 rpms range. At 1000 rpms putting it in gear would make it jump. I would start with checking the throttle linkage assembly make sure nothing is hanging up anywhere.

Hard downshifting? Really? Or is it you?

What is your idle rpm? There is a hand throttle adjustment it may be out a bit far.

Trying M813s and M939s at Tractor pulls

The trucks are meant to pull. Members use their trucks daily for heavy work and don't break anything. If you were chained up back to back of another 5ton pulling like that then yes you might break something. Just pulling a heavy load is what the truck does best. The engines like to be used it...

Trying M813s and M939s at Tractor pulls

The 5 ton in low range will out pull pretty much any civilian truck. I pulled more than real full size semi tractors could. It's so much grunt in low range and plenty of tire contact with 3 axles and plenty of weight to keep it all planted. On dry dirt that it. Mud is a different story. Will

Silicone sealer between HEMTT wheel halves

I have had 5-ton rims the military gooped with silicone when they sealed it. Since so many rims leak down I can see why they did it. The o-rings don't always seal as well as they were intended to.
