I would check the oil and coolant levels before running the engine. If oil and coolant are proper you can let it idle it will be fine. If the trans fluid is at the correct level and it won't go into gear and drive, I don't think any amount of idling will help. Did you try reverse and 1-5 one at...
I have also seen plenty of those tires blown out. They look like the sidewalks just disintegrate. I have seen those tires with newer manufacture dates and the sidewalks are much less wavy, barely noticeable. If you you have to use them, put them on the back 4 and use newer michelins or good...
The cable that goes down from the throttle area controls fluid pressure. The easiest way to describe it is a kick-down cable. You can tighten or loosen it to increase or decrease trans fluid pressure for softer or harder shifts.
The light can stay on to indicate a stored code. You need the proper reader to clear the code. The 4 pin diagnostic plug is by the ste ice port. You may be able to reset it by pulling both fuses that are under the drivers dash.
Trans fluid is checked with the engine running and in neutral. Pull the shifter up make sure the cable did not get disconnected. I believe you can see is selector input moving on the side of the trans when you are moving the shifter have someone under the truck and check. Make sure the transfer...
I dont know the numbers but the 12v tap I believe is for ABS. You will have a + and - from the slave connection and then the mail + and - going from the batteries to the starter. Did you do 2 or 4?
Oil builds up in the exhaust if you are not loading the gen to capacity. If you give it a good load for an hour or two it will clear it out. Sometimes it can actually blow carbon chunks out the exhaust under full load after a long period of low capacity use.
In the cold the air dryer expello valve can get stuck open when it vents. If you climb under the truck and listen to see if air is coming out of there with the engine running you can usually stick your finger in the hole and push it back up to stop the leak. Sometimes a little wd40 sprayed in...
Mine with davit and stack is just at 10 feet. I cut 4 inches off the exhaust and welded it back together you can't tell. And I took off the davit. Lots of low underpasses in my neck of the woods. I am 9 foot 7 inches if I can remember correctly.
You can unscrew the fill screen from the tank and peek in there make sure the pickup tube isn't gunked. I have heard of pickup tubes loosening and having issues. Fuel problems can be a pain to diagnose.
Did you replace both fuel filters and back flush the entire system to get all that crap out of there. The last thing you want is a gunked up injector pump.
