That’s gear oil, remove the nut on the flange and remove the old star rubber seal and install a new one, this is a common issue. Before the star seal, they used multiple o-rings and they were prone to failure and seapage.
maybe they don’t know any better...maybe they have been fed a steady diet of BS.

You guys really want to think about 4L80E, the R4 is garbage on its best days....I wouldn’t venture to far off road with it.

the Cold advance solenoid does just that, it advances the timing the timing when cold.
thus a “clackier” motor.
there are several reason the 6.5 is louder, all having to do with the redesign of the heads.
if you think they are loud, try the turbo diesel on cold start up.

If all your after is the look, then buy a cheap m998 and convert it, if you want an authentic slantback, buy it at the auctions. Either way....you will be hard pressed to find a few of the critical parts needed to build up a kit, or make the GP truck whole again after they demilled the most...
At RWH we use 34094 CARC GREEN.

Tcase doesn’t get low on atf, it gets over full from the transmission depositing it’s atf into the Tcase.
on the old 218 there is a plastic/rubber plug on the passenger side of the case that no one knows what’s it’s there for and those leak....it’s up about 3/4 of the way, not easy to see and...
