Hopefully is ain't a body harness that is effed up...if so, just replace it....really, you will be much happier in the long run.
rear main seal used to be 2 pieces of wax impregnated rope....now they are a modern tough rubber material.
you have to drop the starter, drop the oil pan, remove oil...
Does not sound bad....leaky rear main is common till you get the new 2 piece seal installed.
No front lights? Check light switch setting or a bad switch...assuming wire harness good.
not sure why this would have a toggle switch....EESS and TSU should work for you....post a pics of the engine bay...
crack open the Hard line with a Flare wrench at the Fuel Pump..crank the motor and make sure you are getting fuel into and out of the Pump.
move forward from there...pull off the inlet hose to the Fuel Filter, if your still good, move to the Outlet side and remove that hose to the IJ Pump and...
Why not have the guy where it is stored drive it to an airport where you can fly in? He can have a chase car pick him up and drive him home. You could pay him for his time and fuel...just an option....or have him pick you up at an airport.
yes, I don't think it looks right...not to scale unless you do a lot of additions to the fender wells.
but everyone has a different idea of what looks good......I saw the truck on eBay a few weeks back too.
i personally have done 2 M931's and would only do them with eight an M35 bed or an M923...
I good HMMWV body is 5-10k....just depends how lucky you get, but that's the hardest part to find. The rest can be found rather easily. As Kansasbobcat stated, the cost of a build up for a Hummer/hmmwv is quite pricey.
i do really nothing else in my shop, 500hrs on a frame off is normal and...
No idea for the civ Side...I frankly had never seen hyd fan setup like in The HMMWV before on a Civ vehicle.
have you thought about changing it over to a thermostatic fan? I see many folks do this on HMMWV's and it works great.
and mucho simpler...
That appears to be the same temp sending unit as installed in the HMMWV, it's for the Engine temp Gauge.
so unlike the cold advance and Thermal switch in the water crossover that are normally closed, this TSU just sends
the signal, gauge requires 24v and ground.
Been wondering the same....the only thing I can add Is that I have been converting 931's and 2's to short beds.
it takes about 40hrs labor to cut and mend a bed, then mount it,secure weld new brackets amd paint. Adding all the lighting correctly is another 6-8 hrs plus all the parts, wire...
Lost my core today as well....15min drive and now a few hours of work...
gonna take it to the radiator shop...unless anyone has a good take out for sale...
stupid design, all they had to do was make the left bracket removable.
i know the entire support bracket can come off, but instead of...
Not enough info....need year, condition..and plenty of pics. H1's are maint pigs, as are HMMWV's....I work on them day in and day out, 7 days a week. Other then an H1 mechanic...I would be Leary on sending it to anyone who didnt know the vehicles for inspection. Used to be I could call AM...
