Those springs are needed for off roading, they allow the bed to flex...I believe the spring allow the bed to return to
its normal state...I'm finishing up the 932A2 bed now, the over all length is 116in, so I will have 8in of overhang...will look good. Now I just need to find some side racks...
I'm just waiting on the front mounts and springs, trying to make it as correct as possible.
i welded 3/8in L brackets to the frame and bolted the bed down, so now I can at least drive it.
this truck soon to be for sale....I have started the bed mod for the M932A2, I'm gonna keep the 932
Did I miss something? Seems its posts like yours that seem to start s**t where none exist....frankly, its only on this site does the mud slinging always seems to happen...dont have this issue on the G503.
And you can't own these trucks without going through some financial pain...trust me.
it ain't like you can go down to napa and buy alot of the stuff one might need.
but I had your issue and it was a PCB.
Replace the PCB.....you can't have burnt anything in that box...you can find them for much cheaper then 400.00
i found mine, a used takeout for 75.00
any 939 series will work.
Putting beds on these 931's really make them much more usable, plus you get 2 tanks instead of 1.
maneuvering is also mucho better with the wheel base being shorter as well.
Next up is my 932A2...I think I'm going to go 110 or so inches on that bed...but going 11ft allows the hinges to match up as if it looks factory, going shorter will make one of the panals quite short.
Yea, it looks better with the tire carrier...IMHO.
plus, you might need it...and I don't wanna throw it out of the bed to change it, I would have to leave the old tire on the side of the road....to heavy!
Yea, I pretty much figured it was me...LOL
ya know, if I had only one bit of advice for a novice welder, it would be "take your time". I always somehow end up getting In a hurry and that's when things go wrong and welds start to look like crap, poor penetration etc...
24ga to 3/16in on 110v and 1/4 to 3/8 on 220v
But on 220v you can weld the entire range up to 3/8
no monkey business, just plug it in....I was going to get the 212 at first...but the 211 is more portable and has MVP.
I just bought the 211 with MVP, the ability to go 110 or 220 is priceless, I have a Lincoln 140 on gas, it's nice for the small stuff, but no good outside on windy day. The miller is used for heavy outside work and I use flux core, dirty but deep welds....just no way to get m923 beds into the...
Very rarely...and I mean very rarely is the fan clutch bad, leaking yes, bad no.
it generally one or more of 3 things...listed in priority.
1. Bad time delay module
2. Bad or clogged Cadillac valve.
3. Clogged lines
If the fan is stuck, replace the TDM, if that done fix it, remove and blow...
Let me add....secure the channel plates with screws tightly enough to hold the plate when you had the seat base on it so it does NOT move...this way when you put the base back on the holes line up correctly, if you don't you will need to over size drill the mount holes in the base....I use 5/16...
Quite easy actually....remove the old seat assy from the floor, lots of rivets to be ground off and or drilled, once its out, you need the 2 channel plates and 2 backing plates. Attach the channel plates to your seat base, set it In the truck in the neutral position, you may even want to put the...
