Re: RE: EUC for M1009...Whats up?
Thats kinda why I brought it up....Real PITA if you want to just pick it up as I have done several times in the past.
as you all know the M1009 can shift quite hard, The modulator is controlled via Vacuum off the Injector ump, I have allways adjusted this by rotating the thingy on the IJ pump till it shifts through the gears at lower speeds and not so jerky.
After doing this the other day I noticed I was puking...
My M1009 right rear is 26 inches from ground to bumper top, I am 29 on the Left side.
I replaced my right rear leaf spring but No change. I am having a hard time thinking this is a shock. any ideas?
I got a call back today...there gonna let it go through just this once. No More after this.
The statute does says somewhere any ex-US Goverment Vehicle must have the SF 97.
Oh....I was nice to them...that is why i got this through I suspect.
Got the M1009 registered last week, What a PITA! Finally got them realize that the Invoice is the Bill oF Sale......Or So I thought.
I got a call Today saying DMV Called Gov Liq and they want me to go through the BS of having to get the SF97. Isn,t that great of Gov Liq to tell the DMV Gal I...

My Voltage gauge on the M1109 is about 2 needle widths to the left of the white mark.
On my HMMWV I can adjust the output so this mark lines up nicely....is there an adjustment for the m1009 alternators? or is one just weak?
Good luck thats all i can say.
There is not an M1009 or M1008 out there without some sort of rust. These trucks by there design hold water in places that cause rust. The military isseued a directive to
remove the rubber floor pan cuz it trapped water under it. My recent purchase has to be the...
No doubt to each his own...coulda bought another HMMWV for that. :D
I paid 2200.00 for one of my deuces and it was a Mint 72 AMG with all new running gear. Motor was sweet and none of the typical rust you get from these trucks.
I for one perfer to restore them and then drive them. Not much fun...
Getting Close..... :D
Why would it make a difference? Would that still not mean that 24v was being applied to both 12v Bats individually? as well as 24v in Series?
The red wire for the 12v block comes on the rear battery, The Slave receptactle wires direct to the pos and neg blocks on the Fire wall...If I plug a slave cable in it will send 24v to the 2 batteries wired is Series....I would still only have 12volts from that single Battery in the...
But the voltage coming out of the batterie is 12v, How will you push 24v out of a 12v battery? You are half tapped...if I go out right now and do a 24v jump, I would still only see 12v out of that one Pos/Neg battery connection...the rear battery in the case of the M1009.
I had issues the day I got my First M1009 Home....all GP's fried. I removed the Ballast resistor, removed the fuesable link from the 24v output block and the fuesable link into the GP Relay, Reused 1 of the fuseable links and tied it down from the 12v Block to the GP Relay.
I then installed 8...
