There are 3 Different O-Rings .... One for the 8-Bolt Rim...Black One for the A1 12 Bolt 2 piece Rim...Black Once for the A2 12 Bolt 2 Piece Rim...This O-Ring is Red in Color and much Thinner then the First 2 Listed. And Possibly a 4th for the Newer 24 Bolt Rim, I have not seen these yet....

Looking to buy a HMMWV, What do i look for?

I have CTIS on my 98, I have no issues with it, You just need to know how it works and where the leaks come from. The Spindle seals inside the Hub can be an issue, The CTIS connection at the quick discnnect is the most problem area, I loose 1-2 PSI per week in the Rear Tires, That is due in part...

Looking to buy a HMMWV, What do i look for?

The truck you are asking for is a Hummer, The Goverment did not use the CTIS system all that often on HMMWV's. 6.5TD is Current motor plus all the rest on the wish List...all I can say is that if you want all that have some real deep pockets, unless you buy it already done you will pay for an...

Possible to get a military hummer for 10 grand?

My 98 Hummer wagon is no different then either of my HMMWV's as far as Federal standards are concerned...AT least in my opionion. The 98 has a Ford Escort steering column, No Anti-lock or ABS brakes, That came in 99 with TT4. No airbags etc..... The United Defense/Marine Corp Deal was a SNAFU...

    Pics from Training!!!

I was only concerned with the "Hydro-Locking of the motor....I have no issue with the driver course. I was also in Armor, M-1's, M113 etc....I know all about running stuff over...But I know some Moron who also Swamped an M88 as well and that M88 had to be completly gutted.

    Pics from Training!!!

Say what you want.....I do beleive in "train as you Fight" but there are excpections to destroying equipment. If I took your BS approach we would have balled up every **** Balckhawk, Huey and ****hook I flew on...Just in training. If you were even in the Military you would know there are...

    Pics from Training!!!

The first time may have been training, the 2nd time was IMHO intentional "possible" destruction of Goverment Property, I can say witout any hesitation that you would not treat your Personal HMMWV or POV the same way. Hydrolock the Engine 2 times? Please.....This equipment is Paid for as you know...

Got a few HMMWV tires in today!

I would not mind 4 or 5, with A2 Runflats...the problem I have been running into with these Take offs though is that almost half I have purchased elsewhere have had sidewall punctures severe enough to trash the tire, the damage was not visisble till the tire was mounted though. Very few seemed...

    Buying a New HMMWV

IMHO you should buy an H1, Approx 98-99 year, Soft top, Strip it and convert it to a Mill Truck, You will already have the AC and many other Mods, I would do a 98. I know Juan in L.A. Does this....I say a soft top cuz you don't need to remove the old top. Austin on E-Bay did a real nice Job on...

    Help with H1 purchase

You will have no problem finding a nice H1 for the money you have in your budget. I own a 98 Turbo Diesel, Have for 10yrs. I Owned a 95 with 6.5 NA motor..Non-Turbo. I own 2 HMMWV's as well...Owned many others. I work on H1's weekly for friends and they do require alot of up keep....I cannot...

Bet you $1.00 you cant figure this out! PCB EESS SSI HMMWV

If you pull out one glow plug, install it into the connector, run an alligator clip to the threads and the other end to ground, turn the key to wait. That glow plugs tip should turn either bright orange or get hot as hell. if not and you have replaced everything else, I would still replace those...

Bet you $1.00 you cant figure this out! PCB EESS SSI HMMWV

Decode You need a Ground Harness....Check out my other Reply Post. My 85 did same...Installed Harness and it fired right up. 6.2L cranks but won't start?

It sounds like your Glow plug controller is toast...But it gets worse...It also most likely took out your glow plugs. This is what I would do......Replace your PCB "Blackbox" with a KDS yellow label EESS, Replace the Glow plug controller "GPC" in the water cross over tube with the "Yellow...

Is the HMMWV EPA or DOT certified

You will never get a HMMWV back into the country even from Mexico....If some of you remember some time ago of a GI or contractor stationed in Saudi Arabia took an M1026 and turned it into an H1, Beutiful truck when all was said and done, he tried to ship it back.....it stayed in customs hold in...

    Mount the M249 please help

That looks quite good, I too have fabricated a swingarm mount, but from scratch, it's still prototype, the idea is to keep the costs down as much as possible. The swingarms I use on my truck are original MSG, I fabricated the actual Door mount from Scratch on those as well, I have 1 mount...
