Surely Sam Winer Motors 330-628-4881 has that flange. Rotating the rear axle so the pinion is facing to the rear of the vehicle is effectively the same as the front axle, only without steering knuckles.

I don't know Bikeman, back when I was running my 880 as a daily driver, I was continually fixing the fuel, ignition, and power distribution systems. An upgrade would be nice.

Better check the output of the alternators. The battery should not be hot as **** ever. The squeal could have been the alternator pulley slipping due to very high load due to overcharging.

Great post. I was driving my GMC M135 once at 55 mph, and it backfired so violently that the muffler blew apart. Then, the engine ran like crap. Sure enough, all that was wrong was the condenser.

Switch the bulbs from right to left to for sure eliminate the bulb. Otherwise the hood harness has an intermittent connection. Grounds must be ok if high beams work well.

Have you pulled codes?

I think they are 6 volt as they are supposed to be pulled by CCKWs. The giveaway is the builders data plate.

It is a German made clone of a WWII Ben Hur 1 ton trailer. Once you remove the lighting system, it is very difficult to tell from the real thing.

I'm thinking that is why your alternator is not charging. The alternator has internal protection logic that will not allow excitation if there are incorrect voltages at the posts. Someone has goofed up the wiring on your truck between the batteries and the alternator, or the reverse polarity...

Which "both posts"? One large post should be 24 volts and the other large post should be 12 volts.

Check the wires that go through the door jambs for crushing or exposed conductors. You have a short circuit and that is a likely spot.
