I guess I should have been more clear . It's common slang around here.
What I was trying to say is take a wrench and loosen the injector lines where they go into the injector. You don't want to take the line off, just loosen them a little. Hence the term "crack" :-D.
To bleed the injectors you need to crack all the lines loose and turn the engine over untill you get fuel with no air bubbles at every injector closing each line as the air clears out. If you tried to start it before you bled the filter you've probably got air in the IP.
I forgot about the CMP. I was thinking more along the lines of selling newer rifles and artillery at auction through GL and the like. The NRA is involved with CMP.
When I serviced my truck the secondary fuel filter gaskets fit fine. The problem I ran into was the oil filter gaskets. I reused the old gaskets on the oil filters and as a result they are leaking a little.
I don't remember what the fuel filter # was but I can look it up if anyone needs it.
clinto, I'd be more than happy to help in some way but I know almost nothing about the MVPA. Maybe I should start learning.
I wondering if we should start something new that could work with the MVPA. Something that would include other users of surplus not just collectors. I agree though that...
I can't help but think that someday that equipment will be used against us. Just about every country in that area that we think are freindly ends up our enemy.
Anything the NRA would be interested in hasn't been allowed out of Gov. hands in a long time. While I am a NRA member I don't think they would care about MVs. They've got their hands full with second amendment matters at the present time.
I'd say federal politics at number one.
If they start with the DOT and EPA regs it's going to affect any old vehicle hobby and people still using old vehicles of any kind. The regs would cover many more people and the outcry would be great. Still doesn't mean it won't happen though as it seems...
I said I was done with this thread but I'll make one more post to try and clear the air.
Most all I know about the CUCVs is what I've read. If I was misinformed then I stand corrected .
hobie, I'll admit I'm wrong when I'm wrong with the best of them but for you to keep calling me a...
From what I'm gathering from the posters here is that this will stop stuff from going to GL and what is in GL's hands before the change is safe (for now). Looks like the change happened around the first of the year and GL has sold code 3 stuff since then so I don't think it has affected the...
My way of thinking is the 5/4 ton rating is a military rating and really has no bearing in the civilain world. The GVW (8,800#) is the same as a K20. I know we all use trems such as 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 1 ton, etc. but the automakers quit rating vehicles like that many many years ago.

I haven't picked it up yet but I won a m1008 at Redstone Arsenal. Wreckerman was by there yesterday and looked it over for me. He called and told me that is has the GL driveshaft as a aftermarket mod. I'm not really worried about keeping it stock but I think I'll replace the driveshaft with an...
Maybe I sould have worded it different but all I'm saying is don't give them more info than they need. Just give them the VIN info and maybe a pic and let them decide. I bet most agents would take one look at it and call it a 3/4 ton Chevy. They aren't going to look at the axle size or anything...
I'd just call it a 3/4 ton truck because that's basicly all it is. Or better yet just tell them it's a Chevy K20. You could paint a 80s model 3/4 ton Chevy OD and nobody could tell the difference.
I accually run into this same problem with Farm Bureau with my m715 I should have said 3/4 and...
