    It is not a good idea to mix different types of grease. It is not a good idea to clean bearings with gasoline. Use a good cleaning solvent instead, Then let dry completely.     If it ran fine on that trip, then sluggish, then ok after changing it with a new filter except it has a miss, sounds like something in fuel was bad.

    Are you running on biodiesel or #2 ULSD? Bio will clean gunk out of the tank and lines and plug filter. You may have to change filter a few times. I would try pouring some Seafoam into the tank with about five gallons of ULSD and see if that helps first. Sounds like it could have an injector or...

Check starter to confirm if it is 12 or 24 volt. 12 volt conversion will not start as strong with the same battery cables. 12 volt needs upsized cables to start strong. It still may not start...

    In my area dyed farm diesel is the same ultra low sulphur diesel with just the dye added. I can not buy high sulphur diesel.

    Everything will last longer if you run at night in this heat wave! Especially you, the tires, engine and coolant, belts, hoses, alternator, really just about everything! An added bonus is truck will run better on night air and get better fuel mileage! Good luck from everyone!
