Pintle hitches on tanks and APCs

I see pintle hitches on vehicles (and variants) such as an M1, M113, M2, M60, etc (I am not including vehicles such as the M548 and M1015 because I know they did haul trailers). However, I have not seen many pictures of such armored vehicles towing trailers. I believe I have seen videos of...

Troop seats front and side connections

There are two styles...one for a dropside truck and one for the non-dropside truck. The headboards are different because the dropside trucks have a pin that secures the troopseats to the headboard...as opposed to the non-dropside headboard that attaches directly to the troop seats by means of...

    Steering Gear Box

Maybe you could look for a residue REV truck that has the steering box on it. Then, you'd have other parts you may need or you could sell them. Some of the residue trucks go fairly cheaply, but then you still will have to add shipping from either CA or GA.

    Data plate info M1045 A2

I do not think 599517 is the correct VIN number. I think it might be a USMC registration number.

    Data plate info M1045 A2

There is someone selling a blank M1045 data plate on eBay. Perhaps, you could use that one until/unless you find the correct one.

    Integrated Reverse light options.

Also, these lights do not fit in the holes you are referring to. They mount to the bottom of the body or below the bumper.

    Integrated Reverse light options.

There is (or was) a guy on eBay who was selling the back up light kits from the soft top ambulance version. I also know you can get the lights from Mac Motors, although I am unsure about the rest of the stuff.

Anyone seen this kind of pintle hitch before?

It looks like Eastern Surplus has some. Give Dave or Bill a call.

    Towning home a M1101 I won

Bring a trailer towing light kit. Brake lights and signals make the journey safer...plus may not draw the attention of LEOs. Good luck!

    My Waterloo deuce

Tom Bauer does excellent work. I remember seeing that truck up close during and after his work. Glad your friend is on the mend.

'97 M1097a2 4L80e is bad. Need advice - DIY rebuild or junkyard swap?

There was another thread where a poster (BULLDOGGER from VA?) was looking for a transmission or considering having his rebuilt. You may want to review that thread. I suggested he contact Eastern Surplus in PA to see what they have for take out transmissions. I don't recall his response...

    Hmmwv

The hard part to find are the rear doors. TNJ Murray in DE recently had a complete take-off ambulance body with the doors for sale. I forget what he was asking. I would reach out to John.

Large salvage yards anywhere in the US

I am looking for late model HEMTT parts. I am aware of the usual salvage places such as Rancher's Supply, Red River Truck Parts, SECO, etc. I looked through a few pages of threads, but I did not see any other threads like this...I am interested in finding out if anyone can suggest salvage...

1984 cucv Engine oil type 6.2l diesel

The military would have used 15w40. I have always used that oil in every diesel I have owned, including CUCVs and HMMWVs with the 6.2L or 6.5L engines.

Welcome. There are quite a few members from upstate NY. While I don't live there, my family has some property in Cherry Valley, not too far west of you. Please post some pics of your truck.
