Maybe you could look for a residue REV truck that has the steering box on it. Then, you'd have other parts you may need or you could sell them. Some of the residue trucks go fairly cheaply, but then you still will have to add shipping from either CA or GA.
There is (or was) a guy on eBay who was selling the back up light kits from the soft top ambulance version. I also know you can get the lights from Mac Motors, although I am unsure about the rest of the stuff.

The military would have used 15w40. I have always used that oil in every diesel I have owned, including CUCVs and HMMWVs with the 6.2L or 6.5L engines.
