Truck running great. Driving for 100's of miles, no problem. Suddenly, unexpectedly..

Could be a bad starter, starter relay not making good contact. Loose ground. Loose cable to starter.

    M35A3 Tires with Tubes

I agree with the wire brush on a drill or get a small air grinder that can use abrasive discs similar to Scotch-brite pads. I did that on my HMMWV rims to remove the rust where the bead of the tire contacted the rim. Then I primed and painted over the cleaned area. I am sure you can get those...

939A2 keeps losing prime, no leaks evident

Do not over-pressurize the fuel tank. 5 PSI or so will be enough. You may have to do it several times to see a leak.. It may only be a weep.

My replacement XM820e2 recovery and modification thread

We had rain here for the last week. The yard is flooded in spots that never flooded before. It finally stopped raining this afternoon so I decided to get the hydraulic pump work done on the truck. I started by installing the power outlet that the pump motor will plug into. Once that was done...

My replacement XM820e2 recovery and modification thread

Ok I got some update on the liftgate pump project. The electric motor arrived Friday afternoon. Just as described! I tried to test it with my 20 amp outside line. It got the motor spinning but also tripped the circuit breaker. I guess when the data plate states 20 FLA they are dead on...

My replacement XM820e2 recovery and modification thread

Today I assembled the new junction boxes and wired them for the hydraulic pump I purchased for the liftgate. I used a plastic 6" by 6" by 4" deep box to replace the original j-box that rusted out. I also attached a 3/16" thick flat bar on the back of the 6x6 box with (2) 1/4" bolts. I then...

    M923 fuel problem

It's probably the rubber hoses going from the fuel filter to the IP. It took us 5 or 6 times pressurizing the fuel tank to see a little weep of fuel on the side of the fuel line. It had a rub through from being clamped in place. We replaced it with a take off and we were back on the road...
