    New shocks 66903

Shocks are made to retract (push in) easily. Then they rebound (push out) slowly. This is due to the restriction valves used in them to control movement or the bouncing of the vehicle. So what happens is you hit a bump and the suspension goes down. Now you have the vehicles springs pushing back...

    Multifuel Automatic Transmisson?

I do know about the PTO ring. Also you could have a "retarder" installed there if you ordered it that way. Or you could rebuild it and install either the PTO ring or retarder. I would go with the PTO ring myself. I have a couple of transmissions I'm looking at right now. Both already have PTO's...

    Multifuel Automatic Transmisson?

This question was never answered. Does anyone know the correct answer ? I'm thinking about installing a AT545 Allison in one of my older deuces behind a multifuel. The AT545 is rated to handle up to 30,000 Ibs so it would be fine in a deuce. Just push the transfer case back a bit and play with...

    Fuel pump

I'm not sure now. I was pretty sure it was a "Diamond" though. I had the truck scrapped this spring. The engine had two rods through the side of the block so I didn't try to save it. I sold the axles and let the rest go.

    Air over hydraulic brake problem

You could have brake hose failure. The inner lining is coming loose and creating a "flap' of hose which blocks the fluid from returning. You also could have a stuck air-valve in the air-pac which is not allowing the pressure side to release. Check the brake hose for cracking and bulging. Replace...

    Tom's Overdrive kit

Hello all. Well I finally pulled the trigger and bought "Tom's Overdrive Kit". It came the other day and all I have to say is WOW !!! This is one nice kit! I spent most of my 40 plus years working on trucks as a "gear man" . Transmissions, differentials, transfer-cases and auxiliary drives. In...
