Rkrug buy two of the jump boxes and you should have no problems I have used two regular jump boxes to fire off not one but two 818s in 6° weather so I would say maybe with one but sure with two but why? Just get two big Truck batteries for 100 apiece and save time and money. :driver:

Nope only thing under the box is hoses and valves the motor for the rear winch is where the pto shaft used to go, hooked to the chain drive. All of the winches are the same as the older ones just driven by a hydro motor instead of a pto shaft.

Yeah gimp the arm will rotate on the dual wheeled trucks but not the single wheeled a1 or a2

Mark what I had to do was take pictures of my wrecker sale from GL and my wrecker by to show I was indeed the owner of the bottles, then it was okay no problem.

Okay the oxygen bottle is a standard size you can buy and the same size on all of the wreckers that I have seen, the acetylene bottles that fit the mounts are a standard size that you may or may not can get,some places will sell them, but the government used different height bottles some are so...

Just found out the amsteel blue cable is 350.00 so I think I am going to try it when I get a wrecker back up and going.

That's true DH and Ron but I would Not have ever learned that some of the older five tons had a transfer switch setup instead of a tank switch valve setup. Everyday that I learn something new to me is a good day.

Been looking into replacing mine with synthetic wire rope if me and the engineer for the company that makes the termination fittings can figure out how to make it work. :grd:
