It was a cool but dry day today. I was intending to start the overhead console project. As I sat in the driver's seat and looked at the area above the windshield I saw the lousy job they did on the air hoses going to the wiper motors and the way the angles attached to the J-bolts are sagging...
I like your attitude! You took things well and seem to understand what we look for in a request for advise and info. When you get a chance, can you post some pictures? They really are helpful in getting you the proper info/advise.
Update: Yesterday I got a little work done between rain drops. I took the top and side weatherstripping off the driver's side door frame. I used a drill to elongate the screw holes in the frame. this allows me to push the reposition the weatherstripping further into the cab so it will not...
For that 1" fording hose try a place that sells hoses for water pumps (not vehicle water pumps). If you get SUCTION hose, they are designed not to crush from suction. FYI t he discharge side hose is like a fire hose, but the suction side is stiff as can be! Another option is a 1" fuel suction...
Not enough info. What happens when it reaches 50 PSI? got any pictures of the unit? Are you following the proper procedure for running the compressor? Might be the unloader valve.
I think you are just looking for someone to tell you what you want to hear. I get a sense you want to keep the 10kw head. So keep it! What is the big deal? Sounds like you got another unit there that you can sell instead. :-D
I would think getting a missing propeller shaft would be a cheaper route to take. I am sure someone could give you the spec's on it. Then you can get a machine shop to put one together for you. All it is is a skinny drive shaft.
If the seller is being dishonest about the truck i would not buy it! Who knows what else he is hiding. Find another one with a more trustful owner. :roll:
