    I think they were made by American Development Corporation, I have a SF97 with mfg date 1983 and vin ADC13D3. EDIT: on second thought the insulated aluminum ones like you have were made by Aero Welding in the early 90's.

    A master plumber once told me that the purpose of teflon tape or the teflon pipe sealant is to lubricate the threads so you can get the connection tighter.

    Flatness comes from finely ground silica sand added to the paint during manufacture. Gillespie does not contain enough of this. When settled out, this flattening agent is nearly half of a gallon can when properly formulated. This is enamel or polyurethane paint. Not sure how the Behr latex...

    See where it says 55 inches? If you take that length plus the width of the pulley to the auto parts store, they can match it. Sorry I don't have the Dayco number, but this belt is nothing special.
